This week at Friedens Peace

I know the plans I have for you….plans for peace, not disaster, reserving a future

full of hope for you                                  Jeremiah 29:11

In this time of uncertainty and confusion don’t lose sight of possibilities for goodness and growth that lie ahead.  God sees the plan even when we don’t.

Sep 20 Virtual          Worship (on website and FB live at 10 am) with Pastor Karen.

We are blessed to have our Associate Conference Minister, Rev. Damien Lake, join us this Sunday.  He has recorded a message for us, will be watching with us on-line and will join our Zoom Sunday Chat.  Please mark your calendars so that you can meet and chat with Rev. Damien.  He’ll be glad to answer your questions about the search process or other curiosities you have regarding our conference and our churches.  See you at 11 am Sunday.

Sep 19 & 20              Faith In Action Weekend will look different but we’ll still be serving our community with “reimaged” service projects:

Kit Collection

Assemble “Missouri Food Boxes” later than September 27th.  On October 3rd kits will be delivered to LifeWise StL (1321 South 11th Street in St. Louis).

Missouri Food Boxes each will contain:

  1. 3 different cans of vegetables

  2. 3 different cans of fruit

  3. 3 cans of chicken

  4. 3 cans of tuna

  5. 1 can of pasta sauce

  6. 1 pound of pasta

  7. 3 packages of macaroni and cheese

  8. 1 jar of peanut butter.

If you would like to make a monetary donation, for Friedens Peace UCC to purchase the food for the boxes, you can do that.  Each box will cost approximately $28 to purchase all of the items listed.  You must have your money to church no later September 22, to give us enough time to purchase the food and get the boxes together for delivery.

You can also help collect completed kits from Cluster churches and drive them to Sharefest at LifeWise StL.
