Bring your lawn chairs and sunscreen for a day in the park. The Friedens Peace family and friends will be spending the day at Specialty Picnic Shelter #7 in Broemmelsiek Park. Bring a potluck dish to share and your outdoor gear for fun in the sun. We'll start the morning off at 10:00 am with worship in the beauty of God's creation as we overlook Betty's Lake. Following the worship we'll have a potluck meal and enjoy each other’s company for the afternoon. Families are welcome to bring outdoor games, water balloons, fishing gear, bikes and walking shoes to enjoy a stroll around the lake and fun on the lawn. There will be something for the entire family, including the four-legged members. (Enjoy the 4.7 acre off-leash dog area and pond. Voted "Best Dog Park" in the area.) We've rented the shelter for the entire day so come enjoy one of St. Charles County’s beautiful parks.
From Highway 40/61, exit at the WingHaven Boulevard (Highway DD) interchange and go south on Highway DD for approximately 4 miles and turn right into the park entrance. An additional entrance is located on Wilson Road for the dog park and small fishing lake.
New Melle area seniors age 75 or over and their guest (guest may be under age 75) are invited to the Friedens Peace fellowship hall for a FREE lunch and fun. It's a County Fair party with carnival games, watermelon bowling and a variety of other fun activities. RSVP required by July 15th. (Transportation provided upon request.)
At Hero Central VBS kids participate in interactive Bible lessons, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, devour yummy treats, and explore how to serve God and God's mission for their lives.
